The Accounts Payable is responsible for account reconciliations of assigned GL accounts as well as preparing working papers and financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis and provides accounting support within the accounting department.
This role is located at our Empire Homes Office in Atlanta, GA.
What We Are Looking For:- Post-secondary in accounting or similar field of study
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within a corporate environment
- Enrollment in an accounting designation program is required Knowledge of the general ledger process and general accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
General ledger account reconciliations and other month-end tasks (40%):
- Prepare monthly account reconciliation for all corporate entities that have been assigned.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for amortization, interest, accruals and any other general ledger adjustments.
- Prepare/ assist with consolidation/ elimination entries.
- Prepare assigned notes for consolidated financial statements.
Reporting (40%):- Prepare monthly working papers for all corporate entities assigned.
- Prepare monthly/ quarterly financial statements for all corporate entities assigned.
- Prepare variance analysis for balance sheet accounts assigned and income statement accounts.
Other Duties (20%):- Provide accounting support for adhoc analyses and schedules as required.
- Assist with quarterly review questions and audit tasks.
- Other tasks as assigned.
