EAF Mechanical Floater

Subsidiary: Steel Dynamics Overview:

Floater Mechanical position available for assisting anywhere in the assigned department

Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of Industrial Networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet)
• Basic motor skills
• Basic knowledge of PLC Logic and HMI’s (Capable of troubleshooting control issues)
• Support routine maintenance activities, downturn work, and preventative maintenance checks
• Willingness to learn
• Various utility functions assigned by area supervisor
• Ability to multi-task & follow though on projects with peers

Qualifications:

• Strong safety awareness
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
• Works well with others and independently

• Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled
• Ability to work routinely in a hot
• Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities
