Job Summary
The Early Childhood Specialist plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of young children in educational settings. This position involves creating and implementing engaging curricula tailored to the needs of preschool and toddler-aged children. The specialist will work closely with children, families, and educators to support early intervention strategies, promote literacy, and enhance overall childhood development. A strong emphasis on behavior management and classroom management will be essential to create a nurturing learning environment.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood education goals.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention techniques.
  • Foster literacy education by incorporating reading and writing activities into daily lesson plans.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Engage in toddler care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to address various developmental needs.
  • Plan and conduct lessons that incorporate physical education, math, and other core subjects.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, including standardized testing results.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
  • Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with families and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or providing specialized instruction will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of child welfare regulations and standards is important for maintaining a safe learning environment. This role requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting their educational journey.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
