Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education principles.
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through effective behavior management strategies.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development, including toddler care and preschool activities.
  • Help create an inclusive environment by working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols and assisting with routine childcare duties.
  • Support individualized learning by working closely with children on literacy education, curriculum development, and other educational goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and team members to share updates on children's progress and developmental milestones.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with families.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively.
