Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, outgoing, kind, and patient Early Childhood Education Educators to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, has prior experience in early childhood settings, and understands age-appropriate developmental practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment, including regular cleaning and disinfecting of materials and surfaces
- Assist with diapering, potty training, feeding, and nap routines as needed
- Observe and document children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
- Foster positive behavior through guidance, encouragement, and consistency
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support a positive team environment
- Follow all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children (early childhood education, daycare, preschool, or similar setting required)
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, responsible, and professional
- Background checks needed (Fingerprints, State Police, NSOR, Child Abuse)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fire Safety Training certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
