Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher with EEC certification (P/I/T) to join our early childhood education team. We are looking for someone willing to be a team player and help in all the classrooms as needed. Duties will vary from day to day until secured in a classroom full time.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and preschool curricula.
- Facilitate classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment.
- Support toddler care and early intervention strategies tailored to individual children's needs, including special education considerations.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and observational methods to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and classroom management strategies to enhance educational quality.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and child safety.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to childhood development, literacy education, and teaching methodologies such as Montessori or other specialized approaches.
Requirements
- Valid EEC certification (P/I/T) is required.
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and standardized testing procedures.
- Experience working with students in private schools or similar educational environments is a plus.
- Skills in teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, or tutoring are advantageous.
- Background in special education or experience with children requiring additional support is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
