Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to preschool and toddler age groups, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods as appropriate
  • Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and address behavioral challenges effectively
  • Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with families to discuss progress, share strategies for at-home support, and address individual needs such as special education or early intervention services
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and individualized plans
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards for daycare or private school settings
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, classroom management, and other relevant areas

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
  • Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with children across various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or experience with standardized testing is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and exploration
  • Skills in tutoring or teaching physical education are advantageous for comprehensive child development support

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
