Early Childhood Educator

Duties

• Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children
• Conduct assessments of childhood development milestones and adapt lesson plans accordingly to support individual needs
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Facilitate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and early intervention programs to support diverse learning styles
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists in special education to ensure comprehensive child welfare and developmental progress
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, standardized testing results, and classroom activities

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is essential
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs in early intervention programs is highly desirable
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational philosophies is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners
• Previous experience in tutoring or teaching physical education can enhance your ability to engage children across various activities

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour
