Come join our brand-new Early Learning School—Children’s Lighthouse of Mt. Juliet! We are seeking compassionate, patient, and experienced Preschool and Pre-K Teachers to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment that meets the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of infants and toddlers.

As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for building a cohesive teaching team, coordinating curriculum implementation, and managing the daily operations of the classroom. Teachers must have a strong understanding of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to grow and succeed.

Duties
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about daily routines, progress, and other information
  • Observe and document children's growth, behavior, and development
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
  • Ensure a healthy and organized classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Completes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Degree or certificate in an early education related field is recommended but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Able and willing to accept direction, feedback, and evaluation.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play
