<Duties>

  • Develop and deliver innovative music enrichment curricula tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating elements of singing, dancing, rhythm exercises, and musical storytelling.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and educational standards for early childhood education.
  • Create a lively classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, creativity, and positive social interactions among children.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music activities with other areas of early childhood learning such as theater, dance, cooking, or arts & crafts.
  • Document children’s progress through observations and assessments; communicate developmental milestones to parents and guardians regularly.
  • Incorporate diverse skills such as photography, sewing, or culinary activities into the curriculum to enrich the learning experience when appropriate.

<Skills>

  • Strong background in curriculum development specifically tailored for early childhood music programs.
  • Proven experience in teaching young children within preschool or early childhood settings.
  • Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate singing, dancing, theater arts, and movement activities.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus.
  • Skills in tutoring or working one-on-one with children to support individual learning needs.
  • Familiarity with adult education methods for training or mentoring other educators or parents in musical activities.
  • Creative talents such as photography or sewing can be used to develop interactive projects or documentation portfolios.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth through music enrichment activities. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
