Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate music curriculum tailored for preschool to third-grade students, incorporating elements of singing, movement, rhythm exercises, and musical storytelling
- Lead interactive music lessons that promote participation, creativity, and confidence among young children
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive and respectful learning environment
- Incorporate diverse activities such as dancing, theater, and basic musical instrument exploration to enhance engagement
- Provide Christ-centered instruction in the content area
- Support children’s developmental milestones related to childhood development and early childhood education through targeted activities
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development with the ability to create engaging lesson plans for early childhood learners
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring young children within preschool or early elementary settings
- Excellent classroom management skills to foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Skills in arts-related activities such as sewing, culinary arts, or photography are a plus for integrating creative projects into lessons
- Experience in adult education or working with educators is beneficial for collaborative planning and professional growth
