    JOB GOAL:

    Will provide quality care and education in accordance with developmentally appropriate practices, state licensing and quality care guidelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 16 years or older.
    • Enrolled in Child development and/or TOYBOX lab.
    • Maintain confidentiality of children and their families.
    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs., be able to exert 25-30 lbs. of force frequently, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
    • Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, and to sit for long periods of time.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    181 Days; 9 Months
    COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position
    BENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policy
    REPORTS TO: Principal
    HOURS: 18.75 hours per week - Monday-Friday 1:20 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
    • Meet and greet children and parents each afternoon. Follow quality greeting guidelines.
    • Communicate about the children with other staff members when needed.
    • Keep attendance of the children.
    • Prepare snack quickly if needed.
    • Supervise, observe, and interact with the children at all times. Be aware of the class as a whole and make yourself available when needed.
    • Attend 18 hours of professional development throughout the year and attend staff meetings monthly. Some hours may include Saturdays.
    • Keep all necessary certifications current and on file, this includes an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card when you turn 18, CPR, First Aide, and food handlers.
    • Keep ratios at 1:13 at all times
    • Do the Laundry when needed, this includes during the week and every Friday and Monday morning for nap items.
    • Assist in providing quality care for the children and their families.
    • Become aware and adapt to the quality of care that we have agreed to in our contract with Quality First.
    • Flexibility is necessary in the classroom as well as with scheduling, hours may vary.
    • Wash the dishes for the day.
    • Clean tables and chairs daily.
    • Clean paint cups as needed.
    • Use the rug dr. to clean carpets on Friday afternoon after the children have left.
    • Help to pick up cots.
    • Keep centers picked up and organized as needed.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
