Early Childhood Teacher

Job Description

Redeemer Lutheran, in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking two full-time Early Childhood Teachers. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education. They need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children in a faith-based environment. This position involves developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, effective communication with staff and families, and ensuring the well-being of all students in their care.

Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior while promoting positive social skills and emotional development.
• Ensure the health and safety of all students in your care.
• Work in partnership with parents and colleagues to benefit the children.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Experience in curriculum tailored for early childhood learners.
• Proficient in behavior management to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning styles.
• Utilize communication skills for positive interactions with parents and staff.
• Two years experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting.
• 21+ years old, CPR/First Aid certified (willing to obtain) and pass a background check.
