Early Childhood Teacher

Wanda's Little Hands Educational Center is hiring! We are seeking to hire qualified teachers with a a CDA or Associates to provide care for toddlers and twos.

As an Early Head Start co-teacher at Wanda's Little Hands, you will help curious young minds discover the joy of learning. Our creative curriculum engages both teacher and child in an exciting journey of discovery. You will have the freedom and joy to design fun and exciting educational experiences that recognize and foster each child's individual interests while nurturing their social & emotional as well as cognitive development. All while having the support of the EHS program behind you.

Goal: To provide quality care for a Wake County Early Head Start program. To work alongside another teacher as Co-teacher with a 2:8 teacher/child ratio.

An ideal candidate will have:

• 2 or more years of relevant experience

· CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education

• Experience with Teaching Strategies Gold – lesson plan, documentation, and assessments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Day to Day:

· Caring for the children and their needs

· EHS paperwork

· Documentation

· Lesson planning and implementation

· Supporting your co-teacher

Job Types: part-time, Contract

Pay: Dependent upon qualifications

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
