Early Childhood Teacher

As a Wings teacher, you will be creating loving bonds with children from infants to 6 years old.

We are a nature-based facility that teaches our children how to connect with their natural environments and each other. We allow children to openly create, explore, and discover natural materials while nurturing their needs and interests. Teachers are responsible for the safety, cleanliness, and learning environment of your classroom as well as the safety and learning of each child.

Our teachers explore and teach alongside our students, joining in on imaginative play, creating crafts and art projects, or exploring the beautiful school grounds in search of leaves, rocks, and bugs. Teachers plan, research, and implement engaging classroom activities both formally and informally. Teachers also maintain strong and collaborative communication with the parents of our children through the use of a classroom messaging app, parent-teacher conferences, and daily check ins.

It will be your responsibility to follow our school's philosophy, policies, and nature-based curriculum by lesson planning and participating in professional development training.

Classroom teachers work four 10-hour shifts, from 7:15am to approximately 5:30pm.

Classroom aids work five days a week from 8:45am-3pm.

We are currently seeking full-time teachers as a priority. Part time teachers or classroom aids may be considered from this same applicant pool.

Qualifications:
-Ideal candidates have a passion for giving children the best possible environment to grow and thrive and mirror this in their own desire for growth and professional development.
-A degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or special education is highly desired but not required.
-Experience working in a licensed early childhood center is desired but not required.
-Reliable transportation and positive recent references.
-CPR/First Aid certification (Or willing to obtain).
