Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to foster a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, experience working with children, and expertise in curriculum development. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's developmental milestones to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. The Early Childhood Teacher will play a vital role in preparing children for future academic success while ensuring their well-being and safety.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Manage class behavior through effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide direct care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, including supervision during activities, meals, and rest periods.
- Assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, developmental progress, and classroom activities.
- Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, and assessments to support ongoing educational planning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and school events.
- Incorporate tutoring techniques when necessary to support individual learning needs.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards for private schools or daycare settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; additional certifications in special education or literacy education are preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments; classroom management skills required.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across various subjects including math, literacy, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports child welfare and promotes positive social interactions.
