Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall early childhood development.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Engage with children through play-based activities, encouraging social skills, communication, and independence.
- Help with classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, providing tailored support and encouragement.
- Contribute to curriculum development efforts by preparing educational materials aligned with age-appropriate standards like Montessori or preschool frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share insights on each child's progress and needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning for literacy education, math activities, and curriculum implementation.
- Experience caring for toddlers or working within Montessori or other early childhood education programs is a plus.
