Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Early Childhood Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will inspire young learners through engaging lesson plans, support their developmental milestones, and create a safe, stimulating classroom environment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and curiosity in our toddlers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, and early intervention strategies applicable
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques
  • Support children's social-emotional growth by promoting healthy interactions and child welfare practices
  • Plan and execute engaging activities that promote physical development, early childhood education skills, and basic math concepts
  • Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with CT Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS)
  • Collaborate closely with families to build strong partnerships and communicate children's progress effectively
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to licensing regulations and best practices in early learning settings

Experience

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education is required; Bachelors degree in ECE preferred
  • Prior classroom experience working with children in a childcare setting is required
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is essential
  • Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with toddlers, supporting their physical, cognitive, and social emotional growth
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively
  • Background in early childhood education or related fields is required
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones will enhance your impact in this role
  • Supervisory experience a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
