Early Education Childcare Substitute Teacher

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Early Education Childcare Substitute Teacher! Duties

  • Step into classrooms on short notice to provide consistent supervision and care for children of different ages.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, curiosity, and social-emotional growth.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines for infants and toddlers.
  • Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to follow lesson plans and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences and progress.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education.
  • Familiarity with classroom experience including activity planning, behavior management, and classroom organization.
  • Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred but not required; training can be provided if necessary.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
