Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with families to support child welfare, share progress updates, and address individual needs or special education requirements
- Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly
- Support children with early intervention strategies when necessary, including those with special education needs or developmental delays
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and Montessori methods
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with early intervention practices and special education accommodations
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to work hands-on with children during activities such as physical education, tutoring sessions, or literacy education programs
- Demonstrated understanding of child welfare standards and best practices in childcare settings
