Early Headstart Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Headstart Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills.
  • Provide high-quality toddler care by creating a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere and address behavioral management needs.
  • Collaborate with families to support child welfare and developmental goals through regular communication and progress updates.
  • Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special education needs or developmental delays, ensuring individualized support.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor lesson planning accordingly.
  • Manage classroom routines, including lesson planning, teaching physical education activities, and fostering a love for learning through engaging tutoring sessions in various subjects such as math or literacy.

Qualifications

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare settings, especially with infants and toddlers.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, Montessori methods, or preschool experience is preferred.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields; additional training in literacy education or math is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
