Early Intervention Therapist in East Bay

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Early Intervention Therapists to join our team in providing developmental services for children aged 0-3 years old in East Bay, CA. This role focuses on helping young children build essential skills in language, gross and fine motor development, cognition, adaptive abilities, and social-emotional growth. In addition, therapists will support and educate families, empowering them with the tools and strategies they need to enhance their child’s development through daily activities.

Early Intervention Therapists deliver home-based services, working directly with families for one-hour sessions each week. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives while receiving top hourly reimbursement rates.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized, play-based early intervention services to children in their natural environments, such as homes or childcare settings.

- Conduct developmental assessments to identify areas of need and create measurable goals for each child.

- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).

- Educate and coach families on activities and strategies to incorporate into their daily routines to support their child’s progress.

- Monitor and document each child’s progress, preparing detailed progress reports regularly.

- Develop and implement activities that promote language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills.

- Discuss service options with parents or caregivers to determine appropriate next steps for their child’s development.

- Provide guidance on transitioning to other programs and resources as children approach age three.

- Collaborate with other early intervention professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective support for each child.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree (Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, or a related field).

- Experience working with children aged 0-3 years old, particularly those with developmental delays or disabilities.

- Familiarity with early childhood development and play-based intervention techniques.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with families and teams.

- Creativity and flexibility to adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with family coaching models and evidence-based early intervention strategies.

- Proficiency in IFSP creation and implementation.

- Bilingual or multilingual abilities
