Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) – Early Start (Bilingual English/Arabic or English/Spanish preferred )

NOR Early Start is an Infant Development Program providing in-home early intervention services for children from birth to three years of age (0–3 years). We are part of NOR Companies, a mission-driven organization focused on compassionate, individualized, and community-based support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are seeking compassionate, dependable Early Intervention Specialists who are passionate about working with young children and families. The ideal candidate values collaboration, takes a family-centered and coaching-based approach, and is comfortable providing services in home and community settings.

Employment Type: W-2 Employee
Schedule: Part-time and Full-time opportunities available
Service Area: San Diego County
Language Requirement: Arabic or Spanish preferred; English required

Position Overview

The Early Intervention Specialist provides in-home and community-based developmental services to infants and toddlers and works closely with families to support developmental progress. Services are delivered in accordance with each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and emphasize play-based intervention, parent coaching, and routines-based strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention services in natural environments
  • Use play-based, developmentally appropriate strategies
  • Coach and model strategies for parents and caregivers
  • Implement IFSP outcomes and participate in IFSP meetings
  • Conduct developmental observations and use approved assessment tools (e.g., DAYC-2)
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation
  • Communicate with families, service coordinators, and program leadership
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Title 17, and Early Start regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Science, or a related field
  • or equivalent professional experience in early intervention
  • Relevant early intervention experience may be considered in lieu of formal education(Up to four (4) years of early intervention experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree)
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers (birth–3) preferred
  • Knowledge of Early Start and IFSPs preferred
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proof of current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass background clearance and verify authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort working with families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay:Starting at $25.00 per hour (higher rates may be offered based on experience)
  • Paid drive time between client visits
  • Mileage reimbursement
