Early Learner Assistant

We are hiring a motivated and dependable Early Learner Assistant to support young children (ages 3–12) in developing early reading and math skills in a structured Kumon environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to gain experience in education.

Schedule & Availability:

• Work days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Shift timing: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Total hours: 12–16 hours per week

Requirements:

• Must be consistently available during all scheduled class days and hours
• Preference will be given to candidates who can commit for at least 6+ months
• Candidates open to long-term employment or additional hours (when available) are highly encouraged to apply
• Punctuality and reliability are essential due to structured class sessions

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with young students on foundational skills (phonics, counting, pencil skills)
• Guide students through daily worksheets and activities
• Provide encouragement and help students stay focused during class time
• Assist with grading, classroom organization and student flow
• Communicate student observations to the instructor

What We’re Looking For:

• Patient, positive, and enjoys working with children
• Strong communication and basic academic skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a structured learning environment
• High school students (junior/senior), college students, or aspiring educators are encouraged to apply

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience working with children, tutoring, or in an educational setting
• Interest in teaching or child development
