Early Morning Caregiver for School Age Children

Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan, New York

Job Type: Part time morning care

Schedule: 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM

Pay: $24.50 - $27 ph

Gabi Childcare is hiring a warm, dependable, and professional early morning caregiver to support a private family on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

This role is ideal for a caregiver who is truly a morning person, enjoys helping children start their day with calm structure, and has experience caring for multiple school age children.

The caregiver should be patient, organized, punctual, and comfortable supporting boys, preteens, and busy morning routines.

About the Role

The family needs morning support from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM. The caregiver will help school age children get ready for the day, stay on schedule, and transition smoothly into their morning routine.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys early mornings, understands the importance of being on time, and can bring a calm, positive energy into the home.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ready to begin at 6:30 AM
• Support children with their morning routine
• Help children stay focused, organized, and prepared for the day
• Assist with getting ready for school or daily activities
• Support breakfast, bags, clothing, and simple morning needs as requested
• Provide calm guidance and age appropriate reminders
• Communicate respectfully with parents
• Maintain a professional and peaceful presence in the home
• Respect family privacy and household expectations
• Be open to occasional travel with the family when needed

Ideal Candidate

• Must be a morning person
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Must have experience caring for multiple children
• Must have experience with school age children
• Must have experience supporting boys
• Must have experience with preteens
• Comfortable working in a private family home
• Able to create a calm and organized morning environment
• Patient, kind, professional, and safety focused
• Able to follow family routines and directions
• Open to travel with the family when discussed and approved in advance

Requirements

• Prior childcare experience is required
• Professional references are required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background screening
• Must be available for a 6:30 AM start time
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred
• Experience with private families is a plus
• Experience with high profile or professional families is a plus
