Responsibilities

  • Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive, motor, language, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Collaborate with families to support child welfare and provide regular updates on progress and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, snack times, rest periods, and outdoor play, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere and address behavioral challenges constructively.
  • Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services through tailored activities and individualized attention.

Qualifications

  • Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education is required.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities across various domains such as literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques to foster a respectful learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori training or special education experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds and needs while maintaining a nurturing approach.
