Early Years Arabic Educator
Location: Maadi, Cairo
School: Kompass
Our Philosophy
At Kompass, we believe language is a lived experience. It isn’t a subject to be taught; it is a bridge to be built. It lives in conversation, storytelling, play, silence, and relationships. It strengthens confidence, expression, and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for an Arabic educator who sees the world through this same lens—someone who understands that for a young child, language begins with connection, not curriculum.
The Kompass Approach
We build linguistic awareness slowly and intentionally. Our approach prioritizes the human element of communication:
- Connection over Correction: We value the child’s intent to communicate over their grammatical accuracy.
- Experience over Worksheets: We believe language is modeled and embodied through shared attention and meaningful dialogue.
- Process over Performance: We create a safe space for children to find their voice at their own pace.
The Role
As an Early Years Arabic Educator, you will not "deliver" lessons. Instead, you will:
- Cultivate an immersive linguistic environment where Arabic is the natural medium of discovery and wonder.
- Foster authentic dialogue through play-based learning, rhythmic storytelling, and the rich heritage of the Arabic language.
- Observe and document the subtle shifts in a child’s confidence and linguistic expression.
- Collaborate with a team that views education as a holistic, relational journey rather than a series of benchmarks.
Who You Are
- You see yourself as a storyteller and a co-constructor of knowledge rather than a lecturer.
- You possess a deep, intuitive understanding of early childhood development.
- You are a native-level Arabic speaker capable of modeling the language with nuance, warmth, and poetic clarity.
- You believe that "silence" is as much a part of language as "speech."
- You are patient, observant, and deeply relational.
