EY / PYP Homeroom Teacher

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate with Bachelors in Education
• Minimum of [2-3] years of teaching experience, in an IB PYP environment as a Homeroom Teacher.
• Teaching certification and/or qualifications in the IB PYP.
• Post graduate qualification in Education

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework, inquiry-based learning, and concept-driven curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inquiry-based, transdisciplinary lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
• Assess student learning, provide feedback and reports.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
• Foster the IB Learner Profile attributes and Approaches to life literacy.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and curriculum development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and well-being.
• Support students’ social-emotional development and pastoral needs.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, and the PYP Exhibition.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to the school community.
