eBook Publisher

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented eBook Publisher with hands-on experience in managing the complete publishing lifecycle of digital and print books. The ideal candidate will be proficient in formatting manuscripts (in MS Word and Adobe InDesign), coordinating outsourced services, converting content into multiple formats (eBook, paperback, flipbook), and handling audiobook production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Format manuscripts in MS Word and Adobe InDesign for eBook and print-ready versions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for editing, cover design, typesetting, and printing.
• Convert content into eBook (ePub, PDF, Kindle), paperback (print-ready PDFs), and flipbook formats.
• Oversee and manage audiobook production including script formatting, voice coordination, and editing.
• Ensure all publishing files meet platform guidelines (Amazon KDP, Audible, Apple Books, etc.).
• Maintain publishing schedules, quality standards, and file versioning.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to file compatibility or formatting errors.
• Work closely with authors, editors, and the design team to ensure final product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in eBook publishing, digital formatting, and print file preparation.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, Adobe InDesign, and basic knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Familiarity with platforms like Amazon KDP, Lulu, Draft2Digital, Smashwords, and Audible.
• Understanding of audiobook production, including audio editing tools and file requirements.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills, especially in outsourcing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in flipbook software/tools like Issuu, FlipHTML5, or similar.
• Basic audio editing knowledge using tools like Audacity or Adobe Audition.
• Knowledge of ISBN, metadata, and book publishing industry standards.
