Job Summary
The ECG Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) tests and other basic cardiac diagnostic procedures to assist physicians in detecting and monitoring heart conditions. The technician ensures accuracy, patient safety, and confidentiality throughout the testing process.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Duties
- Perform resting ECG, portable ECG, and Holter monitoring as prescribed.
- Prepare and operate ECG machines according to standard procedures.
- Attach electrodes correctly and obtain clear, accurate recordings.
- Recognize and minimize artefacts or technical errors during recording.
- Assist in conducting TMT (Treadmill Test) if trained and authorized.

2. Patient Care
- Verify patient identity and explain the ECG procedure clearly.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy before, during, and after testing.
- Observe and report any abnormal findings or patient distress to the physician immediately.
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols during all procedures.

3. Documentation & Reporting
- Label and file ECG reports properly with patient details.
- Maintain accurate logbooks or digital records of all ECG tests performed.
- Forward ECG recordings promptly to the concerned doctor for interpretation.

4. Equipment Maintenance
- Clean and maintain ECG machines and electrodes regularly.
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report faults promptly.
- Maintain adequate stock of consumables (gel, electrodes, papers, etc.).

Qualifications
- Education:
- Diploma / Certificate in ECG Technology, Cardiac Technology, or Allied Health Sciences.
- Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience (freshers can also apply if trained).

Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of ECG machine operation and cardiac rhythms.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical artefacts.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
- Professional, calm, and detail-oriented attitude.

Work Environment
- Hospital wards, OPD, ICU, or diagnostic laboratory settings.
- May require rotational duties, including weekends and emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,488.80 - ₹20,000.24 per month
