Job Summary: The Echo Technologist is responsible for conducting various cardiological tests, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining cardiological equipment. This role plays a crucial part in supporting physicians and delivering high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular concerns.
Responsibilities:
Conduct electrocardiograms (EKG), phonocardiograms, echocardiograms, and stress tests using electronic equipment. Ensure cardiology patients are comfortable by addressing their questions regarding the tests. Record the results of cardiological tests and collaborate with the physician to schedule any necessary follow-up tests. Assist physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures by monitoring patients' heart rates and alerting them to any readings outside normal ranges. Maintain cardiological equipment and supplies through daily cleaning and adjustments. Monitor supply inventory levels and restock the supply storeroom accordingly. Troubleshoot issues with cardiological equipment and report any malfunctions to superiors. Stay updated on cardiological developments by attending conferences and participating in research projects.
