Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Echo Technologist. You will perform echo cardiology procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality. You will also check the operation of equipment and maintain cleanliness of procedure area. Responsibilities:

• You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to patient size, age or conditions, using universal precautions.
• You will evaluate the quality of the Echocardiogram procedures assuring that established protocols have been followed.
• You will assume that optimal quality images are submitted for interpretation.
• You will obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered.
• You will properly set up equipment in accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual.
• You will assure all required documentation, films, forms, charges and the patient's medical record are completed as indicated.
• You will complete all required computer entries accurately, timely and without constant reminders.

Qualifications:

• High School / GED
• Vocational/Technical School.
• Echo cardiology Technology registry eligible.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 1-3 years of experience
