What we’re looking for:
We are looking for an Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation Network Technician to undertake all aspects of installation, commissioning, operation, repair and maintenance work on LV systems, Standby generators, Transformers, Motors Actuators and general instrumentation plant such as various safety, control and measurement devices. If you have an interest in Electrical and Instrumentation work and have the qualifications we need, we want to hear from you!
You will support the First Line Manager by carrying out maintenance, repair and replacement of Electrical & Instrumentation systems on gas pressure control installations and associated equipment., completing records to a high standard and meeting deadlines.
We’ll trust you to:
    Carry out maintenance work on electrical and instrumentation equipment, complete installation work and maintain systems whilst keeping up to date with technical advances, industry standards and future developments.
    Prepare reports and provide technical information and guidance to WWU management and third-party customers
    Maintain accurate records of all activities to satisfy legislative requirements
    Oversee activities carried out by contractors/direct labour, where necessary
    Work with other WWU departments in achieving shared goals

This is not an exhaustive list, and

You’ll need to:
    Be qualified to electrician (ie. NVQ level 3) standard or equivalent. 18th edition. 2391 or equivalent. Preferable with Compex EX01,02,03,04 and an instrumentation background
    Hold a full UK Driving Licence
    Participation in a 24/7 standby rota which includes standby payments.
    Have the energy to work in all weather conditions
    Be able to work well as part of a team and operate as a team leader
    Have working knowledge of appropriate codes of practice, engineering instructions, safety, and statutory regulations
    Sound IT skills for day-to-day applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
