Position: eCommerce Copywriter & Marketing Strategist

Company: Wertec Pvt. Ltd.

Location: On-site – Lahore

We are looking for a smart, analytical, marketing-minded Copywriter & Strategist who understands eCommerce brands, can think in angles, diagnose what makes a product sell, and transform insights into compelling email/SMS/creative copy.

This role is far beyond generic writing - you will act as a strategist, helping brands communicate their value, strengthen positioning, and drive revenue through high-quality lifecycle, promotional, and storytelling content.

You will collaborate closely with designers, marketing strategists, and account teams to translate ideas into scroll-stopping email templates, landing page messaging, promotional campaigns, and retention-focused content.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Understanding, Audits & Diagnosis

  • Study and analyze eCommerce brands, their products, audiences, competitors, and positioning.
  • Identify the core problems products solve, emotional triggers, and buying motivations.
  • Map out unique selling points, brand voice, and opportunity gaps in communication.
  • Review past analytics to understand what content/angles/offers worked and what failed.

2. Angle Creation & Strategic Thinking

  • Develop product, collection, and brand-level angles to guide campaigns and creative direction.
  • Think like a marketer: identify hooks, objections, psychological triggers, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Create angle-driven frameworks for promotions, launches, retention flows, and brand-building campaigns.
  • Transform raw product data into compelling stories that make people want to buy.

3. High-Quality Copywriting

Write top-tier copy for:

  • Email campaigns (promotional, storytelling, product highlights, seasonal)
  • Lifecycle automation flows (welcome, abandon cart, browse, winback, post-purchase, repeats)
  • SMS campaigns
  • Landing pages & product pages (optional)
  • Marketing scripts for creatives, GIFs, short videos
  • Brand voice guidelines
  • Creative briefs & messaging frameworks

4. Collaboration With Creative & Marketing Teams

  • Work with designers to visualize angles into attractive email templates or campaign assets.
  • Provide direction, references, and clarity to ensure design aligns with the messaging strategy.
  • Participate in brainstorms to generate innovative concepts for client campaigns.

5. Analytics & Iteration

  • Review campaign performance (open rates, clicks, conversions, revenue contribution).
  • Identify patterns, insights, and what messaging styles resonate with each audience.
  • Suggest improvements for future campaigns based on data.
  • Test new angles, hook styles, content structures, emotional tones, and offer framings.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce, DTC, and consumer psychology.
  • Ability to analyze a brand deeply before writing a single line.
  • Experience writing for digital or eCommerce brands (agency experience is a big plus).
  • Excellent command of English, storytelling, clarity, and persuasive writing.
  • Ability to generate multiple angles for the same product.
  • Comfort working with designers, strategists, and account teams.

Technical Competency

  • Google Docs, Sheets, Slides
  • Understanding of email marketing principles
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or other ESPs (a plus)
  • Ability to give direction for creative visuals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
