Ecommerce SEO Copywriter

We are seeking an IN-PERSON, on site Ecommerce SEO Copywriter to create accurate, high-performing content for a technically knowledgeable customer base. This role is focused on researching, writing, and optimizing product descriptions and supporting documentation for a wide range of parts and equipment.

This is not a high-volume, generic content role. The products we sell are technical in nature, and customers rely on our content to make informed purchasing decisions. Success in this role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn how products function in real-world applications.

You will also use AI tools to improve efficiency and consistency while maintaining accuracy, originality, and brand standards. An understanding of modern SEO—including AI-driven search environments such as Google SGE and large language models—is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Content Creation

• Research products and write clear, accurate, and compelling product descriptions
• Translate technical specifications into customer-friendly language
• Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet content needs and deadlines

2. SEO Optimization

• Conduct keyword and search intent research to support organic growth
• Optimize product listings, metadata, and on-page content
• Identify opportunities to improve site search visibility and performance
• Apply SEO best practices with both human readers and AI-driven search in mind

3. Manuals and Documentation

• Edit and maintain PDF manuals using Adobe Acrobat
• Create new documentation when needed, following established brand guidelines
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and usability of technical documents

4. Performance Tracking and Improvement

• Use SEO and analytics tools to monitor content performance and KPIs
• Identify trends and opportunities for optimization
• Contribute to process improvements related to content creation and optimization

5. Product Research and Validation

• Locate and verify technical information from multiple sources
• Cross-check specifications, compatibility, and product details
• Maintain a high level of accuracy when working with complex or incomplete information

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience writing e-commerce or product-focused content
• Strong research skills, including the ability to find and validate technical information
• Solid understanding of on-page SEO and keyword research
• Practical experience using AI tools to support writing and optimization workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong written communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with technical, mechanical, or parts-based products
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms
• Experience working with PDFs or technical documentation
• Understanding of E-E-A-T and how content is evaluated in AI-driven search environments
