Economic Development Commission Clerk

The Town of Clinton is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to serve as the Clerk for the Economic Development Commission (EDC). This part-time position (approximately 2-3 hours a month) at an hourly rate of $25.00 and requires attendance at one or more monthly evening meetings.

Responsibilities:

Attend and document EDC monthly evening meetings held at the Clinton Police Department in the Community Room.

Post meeting notices in compliance with town and Freedom of Information Act requirements.

Accurately record, transcribe, and prepare meeting minutes.

Ensure meeting minutes are posted to the town website within seven (7) days following each meeting.

Collaborate with the EDC Chair on meeting-related matters.

Reports directly to the Town Manager.

Qualifications:

Strong computer and time-management skills.

Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Familiarity with taking and transcribing meeting minutes is preferred.

Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to town policies.

Compensation:

$25.00 per hour.
