EDFA/ORTHO ASSISTANT

Overview
Meridian Dental Center is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused EDFA / Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing dental team. Our office proudly supports a fast-paced environment with 3 doctors dedicated to providing high-quality dental and orthodontic care to our patients.

We are looking for a team member who is professional, positive, organized, and passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident with their dental experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during dental and orthodontic procedures
• Perform EDFA duties within state guidelines
• Take digital X-rays, impressions, scans, and photographs
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Assist with orthodontic adjustments and patient education
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
• Support team members to maintain efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• EDFA certification required
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Current X-ray certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Positive attitude and professional appearance
• Experience with dental software preferred
