As an
EDI Support Specialist
at Maxima Apparel, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and logistics functions across our global supply chain. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth data exchanges, reliable order flows, and timely shipment execution. Your expertise in EDI and operational data processes will help maintain accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across our operational ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
EDI Operations Support

Manage and monitor EDI transactions with customers, vendors, logistics providers, and marketplaces (e.g., orders, invoices, ASNs).

Onboard new EDI partners and integrate with company ERP and EDI service provider.

Ensure all incoming and outgoing EDI documents are processed accurately and on time.

Coordinate with partners and internal teams to resolve EDI errors, missing documents, or mismatches.

Maintain documentation of EDI requirements, mapping rules, and operational workflows.
Operational Data Coordination

Support Operations and Logistics teams by ensuring data accuracy for orders, shipments, inventory, and product information.

Assist with bulk uploads or data adjustments in ERP, WMS, or e-commerce systems.

Perform routine data checks to identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.

Prepare and validate packing lists, shipment confirmations, and other operational documents derived from data feeds.
Logistics & Supply Chain Support

Track the flow of customer orders from receipt to fulfillment, highlighting delays or data inconsistencies.

Support the creation of operational reports, such as order status, inventory availability, shipment performance, and vendor compliance.

Help maintain alignment between internal teams, warehouses, and customer requirements.
Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization

Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current operational data flows and work with stakeholders to propose improvements.

Assist with documenting SOPs related to EDI, order management, data handling, and logistics processes.

Support the rollout of new customers, new EDI documents, or updated operational workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, and IT teams to ensure seamless coordination.

Translate operational needs into clear requirements for data flows, partner communication, or system adjustments.

Provide training and guidance to team members on EDI processes, operational data accuracy, and workflow best practices.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

2–4 years of experience
in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customer Service, or EDI support roles, preferably within apparel, retail, wholesale, or logistics environments.

Strong understanding of EDI fundamentals and hands-on experience with common EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 810, 856), including their impact on order processing, logistics, and retail compliance.

Familiarity with global EDI standards and operations across U.S., European, Asian, and African markets.

Experience working with 3PLs, retailers, marketplaces, and external service providers is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel and working with spreadsheets and CSV files for data review, cleaning, and basic manipulation.

Ability to troubleshoot EDI and data issues such as incorrect mappings, missing fields, or failed transmissions, with familiarity in FTP/SFTP or similar data exchange methods.

Understanding of core supply chain workflows, including order management, shipping, warehousing, and fulfillment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and reliability.

Ability to work across multiple systems and quickly learn new platforms (ERP, WMS, e-commerce systems).

Proven ability to coordinate or manage projects involving internal Operations/Logistics teams and external partners or customers.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
-Shift Timing: 9am–5pm, from Saturday to Thursday.
