The Education Counsellor for North America is responsible for guiding students who wish to pursue higher education opportunities in the United States and Canada. This role combines expert counselling with hands-on visa filing support, ensuring each student’s journey from course selection to visa approval is smooth and successful. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of U.S. and Canadian education systems, admission procedures, and visa processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling and Career Guidance
- Provide professional and personalised counselling to students interested in studying in the USA and Canada.
- Assess academic profiles, career goals, and financial capacities to recommend suitable universities and programs.
- Conduct orientation sessions, seminars, and counselling meetings for students and parents.
2. University Admissions and Application Support
- Assist students in preparing and submitting university or college applications.
- Guide students in writing SOPs, LORs, and other required documents.
- Track application progress and maintain communication with university representatives.
- Stay updated on admission deadlines, scholarships, and program updates for North American institutions.
3. Visa Guidance and Filing
- Provide end-to-end assistance for USA (F-1, M-1) and Canada (Study Permit) visa applications.
- Prepare and verify all required documentation, including financials and sponsorship letters.
- Guide students on visa interview preparation and embassy procedures.
- Keep updated with the latest visa and immigration regulations of both countries.
4. Documentation and Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, applications, and visa submissions.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation for audit and follow-up purposes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely student updates.
5. Relationship Management and Reporting
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, universities, and partner institutions.
- Provide timely feedback and progress reports to management.
- Support marketing activities such as educational fairs, webinars, and workshops.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Business Administration, or International Relations).
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in counselling and visa filing for the USA and Canada.
- Knowledge:
- U.S. and Canadian higher education systems, institutions, and program requirements.
- Visa filing procedures (DS-160, SEVIS, biometrics, study permit applications, etc.).
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple students and cases efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in an overseas education consultancy firm.
- Knowledge of scholarship options and pathway programs in North America.

Compensation:
Attractive salary package with performance-based incentives.
