Elementary Tutors / Teachers(Current and retired Teachers welcome)

Earn extra Income, become an In-Home Tutor with Missing Peace Tutors! Are you passionate about kids and seeing them succeed? We are looking for an experienced, versatile tutor for all levels of grade School in elementary reading/math and MS/ ELA math and sciences. We need tutors versatile enough to work with multiple subjects with at the elementary level. Local placements and flexible hours. Please, only local applicants as this is part time work. Tutors that can work with multiple subjects will be prioritized.

Are you a current junior or senior in college? Maybe working on an upper level degree and just want to extra hours? Maybe you already teach elementary or work in a math or science field and want to help shape a young person's future. Tutoring offers satisfaction knowing you are making a difference in a young person's education and success.

Responsibilities

-Provide tutoring sessions according to Current operating procedures in the client's homes. Tutoring hours are after school and typically evening hours M-Th and/or on weekends.

-Tutoring is based on the learning style of the student and tutor is expected to use Gap assessment results provided by office, to help students fill in gaps from previous material.

-Keep abreast of in class work and reteach / provide practice for current material.

-Provide detailed reports on student's progress through Provided Management System

-Utilize provided software tools.

-Make a difference in a student's life.

Required Work Experience/Education

-College students at Junior or Senior level and beyond

-Teaching certificate helpful but not required - We love teachers!

-Bachelor degree preferred

We need teachers confident in each of the following subjects for all grades:

- Elementary Math, Reading and Writing

-Math (6-8th grade general math and pre-algebra) tutoring

- Special Needs (Dyslexia and other learning disabilities experience helpful)

-ESL

- Spanish

Pay is determined based on level of education and experience.
