Education Specialist: Part Time/Flexible Schedule

Job description:

S.T.A.R. Academy – Haynes Family of Programs is a state certified Non-Public Agency (NPA) & Non-Public School (NPS). We have an immediate need for a Licensed/Credentialed Special Education Instructor in Downey, CA. We have immediate work on a part-time basis, providing Educational Related Services for student from grade K-12th. S.T.A.R. Academy is a state-approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) that provides special education or related services to thousands of students. Services will take place at the student’s home or after school program. All of our Education Specialists/Therapists are W2 employees. Earn $40-$55 per hour to start for part-time position.

Qualifications:

• Specialist must have a current CA: Special Education Credential
• Able to support social, transition and daily living skills and work with older students
• Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe
• Provide direct services as needed to special needs students
• Must be able to pass background check
• Tuberculosis Test required
• Communicate by email/phone with Special Education Coordinator
• Be able to submit attendance and notes electronically
