Educational Assistant, Grades 9-12

Small, established charter high school seeks creative educator for full-time educational assistant position to begin the 2025/26 school year.

Support teachers, and students, including students with disabilities, on campus, and in online classes. Support students one-on-one and in small groups in classrooms and through tutoring.

Must have strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse students required. Strong technology skills required. Tutoring skills, ability to initiate, and strong time management necessary for this position.

Need strong foundational mathematics skills to support math classes.

Position will be working on campus, in person, and utilizing in person as well as Zoom and Google Classroom platforms.

Schedule is 9:10 am-5:10 pm M-Th on campus, and 8:30am – 4:00pm Fridays remote online. School calendar is similar to Albuquerque Public Schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Spanish bilingual is preferred.
• School or tutoring experience
• Ability to support Algebra and Geometry courses is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment for students in grades 9-12.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities and special education requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers to support lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials as necessary.
• Foster effective communication with students and parents, providing tutoring and academic support in subjects like science and math.
• Help monitor student behavior and promote engagement through innovative teaching strategies.

Job Type: Full-time
