Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler and preschool age groups, incorporating best practices in early childhood
• Create engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social skills through hands-on activities and play-based learning.
• Manage classroom environments effectively by applying classroom management techniques that support positive behavior and foster a respectful community.
• Support children’s developmental milestones by observing progress, documenting growth, and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address concerns, and promote consistent learning experiences at home and school.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Valid EEC (Early Education and Care) certification with specialization in Toddler/Preschool education.
• Demonstrated experience working with young children in daycare
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for early learners.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Background in early childhood education theories such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches is preferred.
