An
ETP Manager
is a professional responsible for Operate and monitor effluent treatment plant systems and equipment. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment.
Main Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the overall operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant performance.

Develop, implement, and monitor operational plans, ensuring all treatment processes—such as biological, chemical, and mechanical—operate effectively.

Supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians responsible for effluent collection, filtration, RO, MEE, and sludge handling systems.

Ensure all activities comply with environmental regulations, industrial wastewater discharge limits, and SASO/PME standards.

Review process parameters, lab results, and plant data to maintain optimum performance and environmental compliance.

Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all ETP and ZLD equipment.

Coordinate with the Production, Maintenance, and HSSE departments to manage waste treatment loads and ensure continuous operations.

Prepare monthly reports on water treatment performance, chemical usage, power consumption, and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement cost optimization measures related to chemical dosing, energy usage, and sludge disposal.

Lead ETP process improvement projects, including capacity expansion, automation, and system upgrades.

Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of treatment chemicals and hazardous materials.

Provide training, guidance, and technical support to ETP operators and technicians.

Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, chemical supply, and analytical services.

Maintain documentation for audits, environmental reporting, and ISO compliance.

Ensure emergency preparedness and effective response to any plant upsets, spillages, or environmental incidents.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

8-12 Years Exp.
-
Experience in the paper industry is preferred.
-
Advanced training in wastewater treatment or ZLD operations preferred.
