I. BASIC FUNCTION:
The EHR Data Analyst is responsible for supporting population health care clinical and operational quality improvement for Family Care Health Centers through data extraction from EPIC (EHR), population health analytics, regulatory reporting, and quality metrics. This position helps with registry development, data collection, measurement, analysis of workflows and root-cause analysis, and presentation in an appropriate methodology for audience. Responsibilities include supporting the Director of Quality, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and other management leaders to implement the organization’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program, report on health risk management initiatives, manage value-based services performance and reporting, and participate in other population health quality improvement projects as assigned.

II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs onsite and EPIC (EHR) application use support, real-time assessment of workflows and making recommendations for improvement, drive efficiency, and promoting best practices.

2. Pulls and validates data from EPIC using Clarity, Caboodle, and SlicerDicer.

3. Develop custom SQL queries and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

4. Supports care gap analysis, risk stratification, and chronic disease registries.

5. Collaborates with clinical teams to improve outcomes through actionable insights.

6. Provides daily support of the applications through review of reports, audits, downtime procedures, and troubleshooting.

7. Prepares and submits report for UDS, HEDIS, HCC, Title X and PCHH programs and other programs as required.

8. Ensures compliance with federal, state and organizational standards.

9. Collect, validate and submit required data for grant applications and renewals to appropriate entities.

10. Coordinates with finance and department teams to meet grant reporting deadlines.

11. Acts as primary contact for Missouri Department of Health, MPCA, Mange Care Medicaid Plans, and Title X reporting.

12. Maintains HIPAA compliance and data integrity across all reporting activities.

13. Other duties as assigned.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in health Informatics, Public Health, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

2. Three (3) years experience in healthcare analytics or clinical informatics.

3. EPIC certification required. (EPIC Clarity, EPIC SlicerDicer, and EPIC Caboodle Data Warehouse).

4. Knowledge of population health platforms and grant report processes.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

6. Excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.

7. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to recognize technical issues, identify the appropriate resource and collaborate on a solution.

9. Effective written and verbal communications with technical and non-technical audiences.

10. Ability to work independently and function as part of a team and across teams.

11. Ability to monitor workflow optimization, analyze and identify inefficiencies.

12. Ability to quickly learn new systems, technology, and methods.

13. Others duties as assigned.
