Position Summary
Serves as the in-house eClinicalWorks (eCW) expert, responsible for EHR configuration, end-user training, and partnering with providers and billing to design and deploy templates and workflows that support patient care, provider productivity, and clean revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain eCW: user accounts, security, schedules, order sets, templates, master files, and interface mappings.
- Build, modify, pilot, and deploy progress note templates, structured data elements, and order sets in partnership with providers.
- Coordinate with billing to ensure templates capture data required for accurate E/M leveling, ICD-10/CPT coding, and clean claim submission; remediate documentation-related denials.
- Design and deliver role-based training (providers, clinical, front desk, billing) including onboarding, go-live support, and refreshers; maintain tip sheets and quick reference guides.
- Provide Tier 1 end-user support; troubleshoot workflow, configuration, and user issues before escalating to eCW vendor support.
- Test and validate eCW upgrades and patches; communicate change impact and release notes to stakeholders.
- Run reports (eBO or equivalent) to monitor usage, documentation completeness, and quality measures (MIPS, HEDIS); identify and lead optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands-on eCW experience as a Super User, Trainer, Analyst, or Administrator.
- Demonstrated ability to build eCW templates, order sets, and structured data elements.
- Working knowledge of outpatient workflows and revenue cycle (E/M, ICD-10, CPT, payer documentation requirements).
- Proven experience training adult learners across mixed skill levels, including physicians.
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate between clinical, technical, and billing audiences.
Preferred: coding credential (CPC) or revenue cycle experience; eBO reporting; go-live or upgrade experience.
Pay: $35.00 - $47.00 per hour
