  • Design, implement, and track required personnel training in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Create and enhance training materials beyond minimum requirements to build safety awareness and empower employees to recognize and report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Own and drive safety culture and communication across the enterprise to foster engagement and accountability.

Incident Management & Analysis

  • Review and support investigations of near misses and workplace injuries.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions based on leading and lagging indicators.
  • Interpret accident trends, assess preventive programs, and train personnel on incident reporting processes.
  • Partner with HRBPs and Workers’ Compensation teams to manage post-injury follow-up and return-to-work procedures.

Audits, Inspections & Workplace Design

  • Conduct on-site audits, inspections, and assessments of operations, processes, and facilities.
  • Communicate findings and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate workplace design, processes, and equipment for safety considerations prior to implementation or modification.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide oversight to the corporate Safety Committee and the enterprise-wide Safety Captain Program, supporting accountability, consistency, and alignment with company safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Safety Captains and the Director of Enterprise Risk to implement and sustain company-wide safety programs and initiatives, while fostering safety culture and communication across the organization.
  • Respond to and support emergency safety situations.
  • Keep leadership informed of key developments, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Demonstrated passion and initiative for workplace safety, with the ability to influence others.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in hazard identification methods (e.g., machine guard audits, ergonomic assessments, job safety/hazard analysis [JSA/JHA]).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Positive attitude and commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to team success.
