  • Serve as onsite contact for OSHA; manage visits and notify the Director of Enterprise Risk of any communications.
  • Implement required personnel training in compliance with OSHA requirements.

  • Review near-miss and injury investigations; recommend corrective actions, interpret accident trends, and assess preventive programs for effectiveness.
  • Train personnel on incident reporting processes.
  • Conduct on-site audits, inspections, and assessments of operations, processes, and facilities; communicate findings and partner with leadership on corrective actions.
  • Evaluate workplace design, processes, and equipment; assess safety considerations for new or modified processes prior to implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Captain team and Director of Enterprise Risk to implement and maintain safety programs and initiatives, while leading the Faribault facility’s Safety Committee and holding members accountable for responsibilities.
  • Respond to emergency safety situations and partner with Human Resources on post-injury follow-up to ensure appropriate support and corrective actions.

What you will bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a related position or field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated passion, initiative, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to influence others through dedication to safety practices and standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to identify workplace hazards using methods such as machine guard audits, ergonomic assessments, and job safety/hazard analyses (JSA/JHA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a manner that promotes a safe and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
