E&I Maintenance Supervisor

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Roanoke Rapids, NC Mill

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for safety, reliability, and technical excellence? Join our team as an E&I Maintenance Supervisor, where you’ll lead a skilled group of 10–15 Electrical & Instrumentation technicians and play a critical role in maintaining and improving mill operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and Develop Your Team: Ensure safety compliance, provide training, assign work, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Act as the primary resource for technical troubleshooting and problem-solving on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Operational Maintenance Coordinators (OMCs), E&I Planners, and Reliability Engineers to schedule preventive maintenance, prioritize repairs, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Champion Safety: Enforce corporate, division, and mill safety and environmental standards at all times.
  • Plan and Execute: Assist in outage planning, coordinate emergency repairs, and manage personnel schedules, vacations, and other workforce needs.
  • Optimize Performance: Support root cause analysis and reliability initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Teach and Mentor: Share technical knowledge with technicians and operations personnel to build capability across the team.
  • Manage Resources: Provide input on budgets, order materials, track expenditures, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Be Ready: Participate in on-call and weekend duty rotations as assigned.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 3–5 years of E&I supervisory experience in an industrial setting (pulp and paper experience is a plus).
  • Education: Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA), ability to read P&IDs, loop sheets, and electrical drawings.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with CMMS systems (JD Edwards a plus) and proficiency in MS Office and process control programs.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities to manage teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
