Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services is seeking an experienced E&I QC Inspector to join our team. Candidates with COMPEX certification will be given strong preference, as it is considered essential for this role. However, applicants with relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation quality control without COMPEX may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works comply with project specifications, international standards, and safety regulations.

Develop, review, and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project requirements.

Conduct in-process and final inspections for electrical, instrumentation, and telecom systems.

Inspect electrical equipment, cable trays, and power/control/communication cable installations.

Witness and verify testing procedures including HV cable testing, megger tests, continuity checks, and torque tests.

Verify installation and certification of hazardous area equipment in compliance with ATEX/IECEx codes.

Collaborate with site engineers, contractors, third-party inspectors, and classification societies to resolve inspection issues.

Maintain complete inspection documentation, including test reports, punch lists, and quality records.
- Support mechanical completion and pre-commissioning phases through quality verification.
Requirements

COMPEX Certification (mandatory).

Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.

Proven experience in QC inspection, quality systems, and project documentation.

Ability to interpret P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and isometric drawings.

Hands-on experience in mechanical completion, oil & gas projects, or shipyard environments.

Strong knowledge of international inspection codes and industry best practices.

Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
